McD CEO’s Cyber Whopper

Feb 4, 2021 | Opinion

Did you hear the one about the McDonald’s CEO who almost got away with a $57 million Whopper? It’s true.

Apparently, forensic investigators fell prey to former CEO Easterbrook’s nefarious deletion of pictures, texts, and emails on his phone before he turned it in by examining only his phone and not looking at the best source of email evidence, the corporate servers.

Fortunately, a whistleblower alerted McDonald’s to Easterbrook’s other dalliances and the evidence was found in the corporate servers. Bet you McD’s wishes those examiners looked there before it put that cool 57 million in Easterbrook’s hands!
